The mission of the Montgomery Farmers’ Market is to connect our community and provide access to local sustainable food growers and producers by hosting a weekly gathering space where we shop for fresh produce and artisanal specialties, experience diverse local flavors, and greet our neighbors.
The Montgomery Farmers Market’ celebrates its 16th season in 2025. Our Market is composed of over 40 vendors who sell their locally produced goods each week to Market shoppers. All of the goods sold are produced within 100 miles of the Market.
The Market accepts cash and most vendors accept credit cards. For those who don’t accept credit cards, come to the Manager’s Tent to swipe your credit card in exchange for Market Bucks. This currency can be used at all vendor booths. We also accept several community spending programs such as SNAP/EBT, Produce Perks, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers and Produce Prescription Program vouchers. We have a special program for our SNAP/EBT customers where we can offer them up to $25 in free produce. See the Community Support Programs section for more detailed information.
Our Market is all about bettering our community while having fun!
The Montgomery Farmers Market is a nonpartisan organization that welcomes all people of any background or belief. We are not a political organization and believe in building community around food and agriculture. Due to our nonpartisan nature, we do not comment on political topics. More specifically, we do not commend or condone anyone’s viewpoints on political matters. We understand that vendors who sell at the Market have a variety of political and religious backgrounds, and so do the shoppers.
Vendors’ social media presence and brand is something they manage individually, and each vendor decides how to curate their own messaging. The Market does not allow sales of products indicating partisan beliefs for either side of the political spectrum at our Market on Saturdays. We also do not allow vendors, nonprofits, and other booth holders to hang partisan political signage or debate politics with the shoppers at the Market.
