About Us:
Tiffany and Tim Shinkle went from hobby farming to full time farming in 2007, when Tim lost his job at DHL. This allowed Tim to fulfill his dream to live off of their land in New Vienna, Ohio. Their three daughters Traci, Tara, and Tessa are very instrumental in the daily operations of the farm. They utilize about 150 acres in 7 locations. They started with a cow and goat herd share program, and quickly expanded to meet local demand for eggs, beef, lamb, chicken and pork. They also raise duck, quail, goat, and turkeys. All of their animals are pasture raised: no hormones, steroids, antibiotics, are used. They use essential oils and holistic practices to care for their animals. In 2012 they started their own feed business, TS Naturals, due to a lack in supply of non-GMO animal feeds. All of their feeds are made with non-GMO grains grown locally and organic mineral supplements. They do sell feed to the public.

Products We Sell:
Our family offers all cuts of beef, pork, chicken, lamb, eggs, goats milk soaps, maple syrup, jams/jellies and raw milk herd shares. Our animals are raised using regenerative agriculture practices. We rotate our animals from one field to the next working to improve soil health, increasing biodiversity and enhancing the ecosystem. We do not use hormones, steroids or antibiotics. Jam and jellies, free range chicken eggs, quail eggs, pasture raised beef, pastured hog (bacon, seasoned sausage flavors, chops, roasts, ribs, etc.), goat and lamb meat (also pasture raised), pasture raised chicken in various cuts, locally produce maple syrup, hot sausage sandwiches made with Blue Oven bread, whole rabbit, whole duck, whole turkey, ground turkey, turkey breast and wings.

Our Practices:
All animals are pasture raised with no hormones or antibiotics. All animals are fed non-GMO grains. No use of pesticides or chemicals on the pasture.

About Us: Living in Franklin County, Indiana provides me access to a bounty of locally grown, fresh, clean, and healthy produce to use in my fruit pies.  We begin in Spring with our own pure rhubarb, chemical-free and fertilized with local horse manure.  I also use fruit from local farm in Franklin County where I either go to directly or pick up from our local Wednesday morning “Whites Sale Barn” where many farmers gather with their best.  Blueberries and blackberries are either home grown or wild picked.  Peaches are brought up weekly from Georgia.  Pumpkins are local.  Apples are grown in Franklin County with limited pesticide at the Doll an Villa Orchards in Oldenburg.  I choose dairy products that are hormone-free and eggs are either local or hormone-free also.  Dry goods, including wheat white flour and pure sugar are always fresh and of the highest quality.

We start our season with amazing hanging planters, herbs and flowering annuals. As the weather warms, we will add a complete line of vegetables as they come into season. We will also have beautiful cut flower bouquets!

About Us:
Since our small beginning in 1974 raising cows, pigs and field corn, our family has grown and with it so has our farm. In 1980 we began raising sweet corn, cantaloupe, tomatoes, along with many other delicious fruits and vegetables. We pedaled the produce all over Cincinnati, Ohio. This is when our farm began to become a “self-sustainable” farm. Our animals are fed from damaged and/or extra produce, and in return they fertilize our soil.

In 1985, we extended our season and planted our first flowers selling them alongside our produce. Then, in 1989, we opened our first permanent retail location in the middle of a cornfield on Highway 46 in Batesville, Indiana.

Although we are always creating new wonders, the one thing that has stayed constant is our desire to become more sustainable and to provide our customers with the highest quality of fresh produce, bedding plants, perennials, designer baskets, and containers.

Products We Sell:
Potted annuals, hanging baskets, perennials, broccoli, lettuce, greens, beans, peas, cabbage, cauliflower, okra, onions, peppers, eggplant, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, sweet corn, melons, watermelon, green onions, tomatoes, mums, pumpkins, fall squash, winter squash, corn stalks, Indian corn, gourds.

Our Practices:
We continue to be a sustainable farm–what that means is that we rotate our crop using hay, wheat, spelt, rye and a variety of other forage crops so that we limit the number of conventional applications.  We continue to use animals that eat forage crops to enrich the soil, limiting the need for synthetic applications.  We value our soil first.
